The Secret Decoder Ring Redux
OK, this doesn't have anything to do with travel, but let me wear my geek hat for one more day because I fondly remember opening cereal boxes from the bottom when I was a kid to get at the secret decoder ring. John Boucard, head of invention studio Infinite Machines LLC created Expericons, tiny charms that can link physical objects to digital experiences. You just wave your magic ring in front of something, and that thing reads your "secret code" and reacts in some pre-arranged way. Recently, comic-book legend Stan Lee partnered with Boucard to introduce Power Patrol Jewelry for collectors and comic book fans. On our radio show from the Lunch@Piero's media event in Las Vegas (during the Consumer Show) I made an attempt to look into the mind of an inventor.
