Photo of the Week: Johnson Lake, Alberta, Canada
©2005 Russell Johnson
I just returned from one of those places in the world that is so breathtaking that it is almost impossible to photograph. In most instances, you just can't step back far enough to get everything in as you are confonted with ominous walls of rock at every turn. When you do back off, the impact is gone, it starts looking like a beer ad even though it is still pretty darn spectacular. Above is a frame of HDTV of Johnson Lake near Banff. Once I get unpacked I will post a podcast and perhaps even a HDTV video of the first snowfall on the day when God flipped the snowglobe.
